.JULIAN ALEXANDER 1988 – 2008
Julian Alexander was considered to be a nice, caring, gentle, and spiritual young man.
Ten days after his 20th birthday and nine days after his marriage, he was killed by an Anaheim police officer while standing in his front yard.
Julian’s funeral was attended by over 1500 people, people he knew and touched with his kindness and character. Julian graduated from the Riverside Notre Dame High School.
Julian was a standout football player, name Defensive Player of the year. He completed a Veterinary Tech program at RCOE.
He met Renee Canton while working at his favorite place to be, Knottsberry Farm. His daughter, Maylia Julian Alexander was born December 5, 2008, several months after he was killed.
Julian’s tragic death affected many, his family and close friends created the Julian Alexander Memorial Scholarship Fund to tell his story and create his legacy by awarding scholarships in the community he grew up in.
